
Bridging Communication and Inclusion: My Experience as a HUB Board Representative
As a minority growing up, I found myself inclined to anything that screams diversity and inclusivity. As the HUB representative representing student employees, I feel included and welcomed on the board and can voice the other employees' opinions. I have listened to some other student employees about the things that could be improved for all students safety and many more instances to improve the quality of life at the workplace. It allowed me to connect my passion for diversity, inclusion, and equity to my everyday work and ensure I am including everyone to feel welcomed and heard. This is a crucial thing to have to increase productivity and empathy.
Tasks Accomplished

Furthermore, summarizing and clarifying others' thoughts ensures mutual understanding and promotes informed decision-making that benefits the greater good. Overall, my experience with active listening has taught me the ethical importance of creating a culture of inclusivity, trust, and respect within organizations.
